Project Details
Nuthatch Construction completed a full roof refurbishment for a combined agricultural and equestrian facility in Chester, transforming both a triple apex and a single apex building. The project was carried out with precision and care to enhance the function, comfort, and longevity of the structures. All while keeping the needs of both the client and their horses at the forefront.
Project Overview
We began by removing the old, worn-out roofing materials from both buildings. In their place, we installed new Profile 6 (P6) fibre cement sheets. A robust, durable, and low-maintenance solution ideal for agricultural and equestrian environments. This upgrade significantly improved the buildings’ protection from the elements while maintaining the traditional aesthetic preferred in rural settings.
Enhancing Natural Light
As part of the refurbishment, we also improved natural light levels within the stable blocks. By increasing daylight penetration through carefully integrated rooflights, we created a brighter, more pleasant environment for both horses and their handlers.
The Result
The refurbished triple and single apex buildings now offer a safer, drier, and more comfortable environment for stabling and day-to-day operations. The horses have settled happily into their upgraded accommodation, and the client is pleased with a project that blends practicality, performance, and care for the animals.
